This initiative emerged from the workshop "A Tough Cookie: Will SMEs Crumble under the Gatekeepers?" organized by SME Connect and Danish Entrepreneurs on May 5, 2026.
The workshop brought together business leaders, policy experts, and SME representatives to discuss the potential impact of browser-level consent on Europe's digital economy. The discussion revealed a critical gap between regulatory intentions and real-world business impacts.
Our goal is to ensure that policymakers hear directly from the businesses and entrepreneurs who would be affected by this proposal, and to advocate for solutions that balance consumer protection with economic competitiveness.
